Vermilthra

A figure of dangerous and lucrative allure, as well as a being of immense power. Her appearance is that of a beautiful enchantress. To the untrained eye, Vermilthra presents herself as a young maiden that has an air of grace and mystery. Her long red hair flows down her back like a river of blood. her disarming smile and emerald like eyes are designed to lure her victims in closer, rendering them vulnerable.

Behind her enchanting facade is something out of a nightmare. The lower half of her body is that of a great serpent with iridescent black scales.Her serpentine body coils and writhes with unsettling fluidity, granting her a predatory grace. This serpent form is the manifestation of her insatiable hunger which serves as both a weapon and her prison.

The Bloodweaver absorbs the soul of those she consumes. After she feeds, her vitality and youth are renewed. With each kill she grows stronger. When she hungers, she sends out snakes that seek those with great knowledge or secrets. They will bite these victims and inject a venom that acts as a mild mind control poison which will lure these victims into the caves underneath the mountains. Once captured by the Bloodweaver, she then drains them of blood and soul, leaving them a hollow and lifeless husk.

While nobody alive knows her or her sisters' origin, it is rumored to be that of Fae ancestry. Vermilthra was said to be a fae of the autumn court and wanted a way to solidify her immortality and power. She turned to the Void for help and became the vicious monstrosity that exists today. Legend says that the Bloodweaver has great insight and those who seek her out or are lured into her lair are seeking forbidden knowledge. Many unfortunate souls have attempted to obtain the secrets she holds, and many more have failed.

It is said that her knowledge is gained by absorbing the souls of her victims. She feeds on brilliant minds and curious ones to grow her knowledge and power.
