Oracles

Oracles are born usually under the Periwinkle Eclipse, a celestial event that transforms the night sky into a canvas of subtle and otherworldly hues. As the moon darkens and takes on its periwinkle shade, the surrounding stars seem to pulse with increased brightness, creating a sense of cosmic reverence. Observers often describe the event as dreamlike and serene, evoking a profound connection to the universe. The Oracle of ██████ are children born with the gift of foresight. Her visions come in fragments of colour and shadow, and she often paints them. As the Oracle grows, she finds her bonded Sentinel or rather her Sentinel finds her. As the Oracle's power grows, so too does the threat of those who wish to exploit her for nefarious purposes. Her Sentinel is there for the Oracle to seek protection and solace.

Sentinels

Sentinels are often born of the same celestial event. They are granted a ferocious loyalty to their Oracle and are often given gifts in order to help shield their Oracle from harm and evil intentions. These gifts vary depending on the type of Sentinel they become. Often times they become a master in at least two particular skills in order to serve and protect their Oracle. Sentinels share a soul-level bond with their Oracle. They are the first to know if their Oracle is in trouble as they can feel any harm or distress the Oracle feels, on the off chance the Oracle is not in eyesight of them.

The Bond

From the moment of their births, the Oracle and the Sentinel are spiritually connected, sensing each other's emotions and thoughts at a primal level. They grow up side by side, each nurturing the other's strengths and compensating for their weaknesses. As children, their bond is innocent and playful; as they mature, it deepens into a profound partnership, transcending mere friendship. Often times they spend so long together that they rarely take other partners, although its been known to happen occasionally.

The Oracle is often in danger during an episode of Transcendance, so often the Sentinel is not far behind them. On the other side of the coin, the Oracle helps the Sentinel work through episodes of Ferocity.

Transcendance

During an episode of Transcendance, an Oracle is at her most vulnerable. Her visions come into being through her paintings rather than any sort of song or poem. During the phenomenon known as Transcendance, the Oracle will stay in one place and furiusly draw or paint what she sees. These episodes can last from minutes to days long. All throughout the episode her Sentinel keeps constant vigil for her and aids her in any way that is asked of them.

Ferocity

During an episode of Ferocity, the Sentinel is often worked up either trying to protect their Oracle or the Void gets inside their head for a short time as a side effect of Transcendance. Since the Oracle and Sentinel feel things on a soul-level, Sentinels often fly into a frenzy when their Oracle is harmed. This results in the Void being able to slip into their minds and make them crazy for a time. Often the Oracle is able to sense the distress and is able to bring them back to reality.
