Twin Bridges of Woohali
The Twin Bridges of Woohali are a set of bridges in the city of Woohali, Ishan. Woohali translates literally to 'two bridges' in Kechwi. The Twin Bridges connect the three sections of the city to each other, which are separated by a fork in the river. The bridges are believed to have been built by the Solori prior to the First Dawn. The city of Woohali was built around the bridges by the Ishani in the First Dawn.
Purpose / Function
The Twin Bridges were built by the Solori prior to the First Dawn. Historians agree that the bridges were most likely built to make land travel between Mirran and Cyra easier. The bridges are built over a large forked canyon known as the Chewik Rift with a river at the bottom, the Chewik River, making it nearly impossible to cross. The Solori most likely built the bridges when they were expanding to Mirran from their theorized place of origin in Cyra.
Alterations
Since the bridges were built, they have been largely unchanged outside of repairs. However, the city of Woohali was built around the bridges to the south of the fork in the Chewik Rift. Thus, the bridges became known as the Twin Bridges of Woohali. Woohali has since expanded, and now lies on all sides of the bridges.
