Tickets & Tokens

Now, the Nacre Mollusca Fairgrounds has no economy, and barely even a government. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that a guest can simply peruse the rides and games all willy-nilly like that. In order to ride a ride or play a game, you need tickets. Thankfully, it’s not all-too difficult to get—all you have to do is make your way over to Teddy’s ticket booth—but you can’t just ask for a huge handful, you receive them in moderation. All this is to prevent crowded backlogs in the various sectors of the park. The booth also gives you “admittance tickets”, which are what guests must use to get a seat at either circus tent or the performance stages. Sure, this is the afterlife, but the seating isn’t endless.

On the side of the game district (or boardwalk), people can either receive prizes or tokens as a result of how well they did at any given game, booth or arcade. If one gets the latter, they can use them to redeem as prizes at one of the booths dedicated to such; these could be gifts, or contraptions, or even special vouchers for certain food. If they don’t feel they need them, however, they can always have Teddy convert them back to tickets to use them at the Fairgrounds all over again.
