The Junta Wars

Unfortunately these wars are not well documented, due to the hostile and isolationist nature of the Junta’s. There have been three wars in total; 1st Junta War in 2163, the 2nd Junta War in 2334, and the 3rd Junta War in 2415. One thing to be clear on is that there is ample evidence of fighting occurring intermittently nonstop between wars, and the wars themselves are mass fighting between all the Juntas and their very fragile alliances between each other. What was unique about the 3rd Junta War however, was that the Arediān Republic and the Imperial Karieban Federation were united against the Regency and allied Junta’s to liberate the struggling Sanctuary City of Puerto Esperanza.

Puerto Esperanza was functionally a neutral city state until it was occupied by the Regency, who invited friendly Juntas to celebrate the victory. However, the politics of the city has been unstable since the Caretaker AI went rogue after the Great War. Soon after the Regent occupied the city, it went into complete chaos with combat stretching from street to street with militants who got most of their arms from the Cartels. In the midst of the fighting is when the Arediān Republic and IKF would intervene and push out the Juntas, destroying a large amount of Junta war assets and destroying Porto Area and San Xilda Airbase in Illagua. The Republic Navy would also demolish the Admiralty of Guardia in a battle around Isle no 'Ōpani, which is now Forte Kuokoa, capturing many of their warships during the battle. The new occupation by the Arediān Republic and the IKF for Puerto Esperanza is still ongoing as of time of writing, due to what both countries perceive to be a lack of a functional local government.
