The Third Alianza/The 2nd Illagran Civil War

Military action

630-660 ISC

The Arenian Empire’s ambitions would take over at this time, especially with Primer Octavi Pareja taking the reins of the Empire. After High Queen Varon would pass away, the Tiran would take advantage of the Republican style Consell and bribe certain Lords to vote someone more friendly to the Arenian Empire. Splitting apart Illagran into two factions, and starting a second civil war that would be far bloodier than the last. At the same time, the First Republic would also deny Cicloist Missionaries from Arenia to live on their islands, a controversial move that was born from the Missionary’s shady and aggressive inquisitorial activities. This would eventually break out in war involving the Third Tiran which was the Arenian Empire, it’s Protectorates, and the Illagran Imperial Faction fighting against the Third Alianza composed of the First Navaleian Republic, the Illagran Consell Faction and surprisingly enough the Kingdom of Hao.

The fight against the Third Tiran would last for about a decade give or take, the Illaguan Confederation would battle a bloody civil war and eventually the Imperial Faction would take control of the Consell and become the Kingdom of Illagua. After the defeat of the Consell faction, the war was taking a large toll on the already unstable First Republic and they eventually lost every island south of Hananui to a coalition force of the United Kingdom of Charstania’s navy and Arenian Imperial troops and mages, which was more than half of its territory. Before Tiran forces would move on to the Navaleian islands, the First Republic sued for peace and met every demand of the Tiran. The most significant of these demands being the acquisition of the South Aredián Trade Company, Missionaries having complete immunity, and loyalty from the Senate to the Tiran with the Tiran able to intervene in case something would change the agreement or government. In exchange, the First Republic maintained a high degree of autonomy and it’s territories lost in battle. The Kingdom of Hao would fight on for about two more decades until the ancient King Xose would finally meet his end in battle, and his heirs disappear from history, absorbing the Kingdom into Illagua. Marking the year 660 as the first time a Tiran would control territory outside of Talarena even if indirectly.
