Lizalfos

Within the outskirts and forgotten places of Hyrule, the Lizalfos loom as formidable adversaries, often under the command of demon lords alongside Bokoblins and Moblins. This varied people boasts an array of clans, each with unique traits. The Geru clan's savage jaws strike fear into the hearts of their foes, the Tokay clan is home in the water and boasts a chameleon-like ability, and the Zazak clan overwhelms with brutal strength and striking fear in the hearts of their enemies. Ascending to extraordinary power, some Lizalfos sprout wings, donning an almost dragon-like appearance.   Instinct-driven beings, Lizalfos perceive the world through a lens that may seem alien to most. Those free from the thrall of demon masters can be reasoned with, but they remain primarily driven by self-preservation and their primal instincts. Their way of life may seem savage and ruthless, but beneath their feral exterior lies cunning and strategic intelligence. They are extremely adaptable to whatever environment they find themselves in. Their most exceptional warriors will often journey across the land to meet other clans and learn to fight and hunt as they do.   Known Settlements: The preferred settlement for Lizalfos varies by clan and their element. The eastern continent was at one time under the complete control of an expansive Lizalfos empire, but have been slowly driven to the edges of the world as more and more peoples from the west have settled in the region. Fire-Breathers are known to live in hot and volcanic areas like Death Mountain and the Path of Fire. Lightning-Breathers prefer wet areas, where their breath is at its most potent. Ice-Breathers live in cold regions like the Parapa Wastes. Crescent Isle is notable for having a Tokay clan that is less hostile, since they much prefer theft to outright violence.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.   Low Light Vision. You can see in dim light within 30 feet of you as if it were normal light, and 10 feet in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Natural Armor. You have tough, scaly skin. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 damage of the type you choose with your Clan. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).   You can use your Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. • Hungry Jaws. You can expend a use of your Breath Attack to throw yourself into a vicious feeding frenzy. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your bite. If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1) + your Breath Attack damage.
Tokay Lizalfos are most common around the water, whether it be in rainforests, swamps, or along the coasts. Most Tokay are Lightning-Breathers, where they can make the most of the humid environment.

When you take damage that triggers this resistance, you can use your reaction to gain immunity to that damage type for the next minute. Once you use this reaction, you can't use it again until you complete a long rest.
  • Draconic Roar. You can expend a use of your Breath Attack to let out a screeching roar as a Bonus Action. Hostile creatures within ten feet of you are startled and must make a Wisdom Saving Throw against your Breath Attack DC.
