Goriya

The Goriya, a race of canine humanoids, possess a striking resemblance to jackals, their sleek, pointed features denoting their proud lineage. Among them, the Keatons stand apart with a fox-like countenance, while the Wohsu take on a more formidable, wolfish appearance. Although closely related to Moblins, Goriya have a more slender and dextrous form best suited for evasion and precise work. Their inherent pride and deeply rooted aversion to failure guide their cultural ethos, viewing any misstep as a moral shortfall. Renowned for their unparalleled skill in craftsmanship, the Goriya are credited as the original creators of the boomerang, a testament to their artistry and innovation.   With a reputation as quick learners, they possess the unique ability to swiftly replicate skills witnessed within their own pack, exhibiting an exceptional talent for mimicry. Their keen sense of smell serves them well in the art of hunting, allowing them to track prey with remarkable precision. Keatons, distinguished by nimble digits, boast an unmatched dexterity and precision, making them adept thieves. In contrast, the Wohsu excel as long-distance pursuit hunters, utilizing their wolf-like attributes to track and chase down targets with tenacity and prowess. Driven by a code of conduct that prioritizes honor and loyalty above all, the Goriya, regardless of their variant, are often sought after as professional mercenaries, their allegiances swaying as easily toward just causes as they do toward darker, less noble purposes.   Known Settlements: Goriya live in small family units, usually numbering in no more than a dozen individuals. These packs hunt and live together and prefer to avoid large cities when it can be helped. When hunting is lean, they will take out work as mercenaries. Larger groups of Goriya are often located at military locations or at sacred temples where they collect wages to safeguard the area. Because of this, there are no Goriya towns or cities to speak of.
