The Dread Sea

The Dread Sea is a vast and dangerous ocean full of many great, mystical beasts that are equally vast and dangerous. These creatures owe their existence to the magical salt that can be found dissolved in the water. When extracted from the water and examined, it can easily be identified as a form of crystallized aetherstream (Much like brine at the bottom of Earth’s oceans, there is a liquid aetherstream that coats the bottom of The Dread Sea). This gives rise to the monumental sea creatures with powerful magical properties that lurk in the depths. This has led to the invention of airships designed to cross the Dread Sea without ever touching the water below.
