What is Ancient Power?

Ancient Power is an infinitely powerful and supernatural force, being responsible for most of the supernatural events on Earth. This neutral-by-nature force is sometimes styled as Ancient Earthly Power. Those who wield it can freely use it for either good/light or evil/dark.

Natural Resource

Magic is a natural resource. Magic collects in places, people, or objects, and magic-users tap and use it. Magic may only be possible via such an artifact or substance.
Example: Ley Lines and Mystical Monuments
Ley Lines, the power network of magic on Earth, crisscross the globe. Some of their magic has been transferred into objects which later turned to artifacts. These lines sometimes mark sites that are doorways into other realms. While Magic Scholars know of the Mystic Isles, there are possibly many more worlds.
These lines of magical energy have slowly faded since King Arthur and The Kingdom of Camelot in Albion. But the eventual loss of belief quickened it.
When Baxter and the Rulers restore the ley lines and reawaken the mystical convergences, it comes back more alive than it has for a long while.
After the Final Battle of Light and Dark, Magic supercharges the Lines and The Dual Royal Family making them even more powerful.

Outside-Context Power

Magic is an outside-context power. Magic is the power of a god, eldritch being, extraplanar entity, or consciousness from otherwise outside of our realm, and magic-users or magical items are conduits that it can act through.
Example: God deities and artifacts or items connected to ancient users of Power on Earth.

Extra-Depth

Magic is an entity with extra-depth. Magic is itself a consciousness or living intelligent entity, and magic users bargain with it for power or request that it do things. The magic entity can act on its own and withdraw its support at any time. A subtype is "reality as the consensus", where the fabric of the universe is created or stabilized by what people in it believe.
Example: Holiday Magic and Spirits, AEP Spirit and Magic and users from those spirits
These enchanted entities have a sub-consciousness courtesy of the Human Collective Consciousness (HCC). These spirits act as energies that interact with mortals/humans and supernatural beings. None of them are conscious self-aware yet. It is possible any or all could become it in the future.
In ancient times (Atlantis and Lemuria Empires), the potential of power in the HCC was well-known by both the forces of good and of evil.
That knowledge made it through the centuries.
Now, let’s talk about the spirits themselves!
The Spirit of Ancient Earthly Power is the spiritual sub-consciousness of Humans believing in Earthly Magic. Each of the holiday spirits is powered by Mortal Humans. The more minds participating in holiday celebrations, the better it is for the spirit of whichever holiday it is.
Those who depend on the spirits, such as Santa Claus and other Guardians, use them as a way to energize the HCC for use each and every year. It also helps to keep Light and Life on Earth.

BEFORE MAGIC LEFT & AFTER RETURN NOTE

The World of Ancient Earthly Power, including the sub-power of Christmas Magic, was different yet integral with Humankind. Unfortunately, time went by and people slowly stopped believing in magic until it was gone completely. The belief is as much as the holidays allow it.
Buildings were not originally known to grow magically outside of the square footage of what it is made of. That is, when Ancient Power was still alive.
It finally returned when all Guardians of Childhood brought it back. Christmas Spirit was the most powerful of the Spirits. It was all fourteen’s belief that rekindled Ancient Power.
For whatever reason, a new age caused something new to happen. Buildings and places will now grow beyond their physical limits. How is not explained. But it helps the world and only certain buildings (besides those in the Christmas Realm) have it.

Manifestation

Magical Energy is known on Earth as Aether (Ancient Power Aether). Sometimes, it is called Magic Dust. This is only accurate if you know that Dust is what is left behind from the Magic Community. Magic Aether is found in various colors but it is mainly associated with Baxter and the Rulers. With Baxter, the myriad of colors represents his lordship on Earth over Ancient Power. Some animals (Griffins/Gryphons, Pegasi and Alicorns, Dragons, Unicorns, and Santa’s Christmas Reindeer) leave behind a streak of dust (viewable to all past 2020) when they fly and on the ground.

Localization

On Earth, the laws that govern Magic are shown in many places. The major highway of Ley Lines is connected to smaller highways. But most of what are called Mystical Monuments are on the major highways (Stonehenge or Machu Pichu for instance). There are also Seven Chakras of Mystical Energy which are high places of Magic.
Humans, who are lucky enough to attend Summer Solstice gatherings in Nature, will see the sparks of energy they create and also see the Aether around them. The majority of this will happen at Mystical Monuments but that is not the only place. For those that follow the Old Religion, they’ll see everywhere.
Let’s talk about the Polar Caps. Since the Magic will eventually return back into the planet, you’ll also see the Aether around the South Pole. At Santa’s North Pole City, there is always an abundance of Aether.
