The Shop 'N Hop
The Shop 'N Hop is a popular Arcanery located in Goldas and run by powerful Wizard Vanessa Locke. The shop offers a wide range of magical items for reasonable prices.
Defenses
Each item in the store is inscribed with a rune tied to glyphs on the front door. Upon purchase, the rune is removed. If an item passes through the entrance while this rune remains a powerful fireball goes off with the intent of incinerating the would-be robber.
History
Vanessa Locke founded the store on the 11th of Mystrath 1005 ME when she came to Goldas and began selling items she finely crafted for it, or was traded by other witches, The store became popular among those with the coin for arcane wares and would boom for the next 12 years.
On the 25th of Rumbleth 1017 ME, the store was robbed by The Outsiders who stole an Archivist's Key through great teamwork, deception, and speed. Later that day the store would face a much larger scale robbery with a carrion cloak and folding boat going missing that night while the front of the store was decimated by fireballs and the stores golem defender was slashed apart by blood and ripped limb from limb.
Tourism
Adventuring parties passing through Goldas often visit to stock up on potions and arcane items for their travels. The Shop 'N Hop is not a shop for the poor as their wares are high end, and high quality. The prices are not for the faint of the heart even if they are reasonable for the items at hand.
