Zenith

The ceremony during which citizens of Astropor disolve into an aurora of starlight and ascend to the heavens to begin the next part of their journey through the cosmos. The Zenith takes place at sundown on the 100th birthday of an Astropoli citizen and is often a jovial if melancholy affair with friends and family gathering around in their local Centuary to say their final goodbyes. It is customary to bring fine vellum or parchment on which the departing loved one may write a note of farewell and waft through the incense of their choosing so that you may remember them fondly.
