Legend of the God King Solomonzol
Astronomers of the ancient Kingdom of Chult identified an asteroid headed straight for a heavily populated region of the Maguuma Jungle. The Crocodile King Solomonzol (ancestor of the present-day spirit of Solomonzol) and Queen Ekene 'Afa along with four elite adventurers headed out to the asteroid's projected point of impact. As it drew closer, the heroes realized that it was bathed in an unknown, dark cosmic energy.
The queen's Sun Blade absorbed the energy as the asteroid entered the atmosphere and the King's magic stopped the shuttle from crashing into the ground. As the queen drew the lethal energy away from the asteroid, the king and his elite heroes managed to permanently suspend the asteroid just below the clouds. While the queen survived, the other five died in the process.
Unbeknownst to her, Queen Ekene Afa was pregnant at the time of the asteroid's descent. The otherworldly energy granting the soon-to-be prince supernatural powers and the mutation would be passed on to Solomonzol's descendants, thus the title of Crocodile King morphed into God King until the kingdom's eventual downfall many hundreds of years later.
