The Aether

There have been many stories over the years about people going missing while wandering the woods alone, having supposidely been taken by Fae to another dimension. While some that have heard the story have relehgated it to rumor and myth, the truth is this other dimension does exist. And people have accidentally wandered into it to never return.   The Aether is a realm of impossible mountains, twisting trees the heights of oceanic depths, and overabundant life. All of Fae-kind have origins here. The Aether seemingly collects all forms of life fromk Myst into one spot, allowing for extreme interactions between lifeforms. All manner of creatures and flora not from Myst can also be found here - either suggesting that they were created within the Aether or that it is connected to places other than just Myst.   The Aether is split into two distinct sections and seven layer among these sections. The Esrevni and the Inverse are near mirrors of each other. When you are standing on one, the other will be above you, appearing as upside down mountains and trees. The layer you are on is determined by where you are heightwise on either section. In order from highest to lowest sections there are the: Inverse Layer, Emergent Layer, Sunburst Layer, Darkbrush Layer, Undertangle Layer, and Great Blue Layer. The Inverse and Emergent layers sit above the gigantic tress of the Aether while the Undertangle and Great Blue exist below the base of the trees. The entire ecosystem appears to sit over the top of a giant ocean called "The Great Blue".
