Emagest
in The North Atlas
Emagest is...
the last continent to be discovered on the North Atlas. Its discovery was late into the Age of Enlightenment and was significant enough to start the dawn of the Mystic Era as people and empires flocked to this new land. It was quickly discovered that mass amounts of Etherine could be found under Emagest's surface - possibly the reason why it had somehow eluded the sights of everyone. The uncovering of this Etherine was of great interest to the nearby empires of Emorsis and Kinvar who were quick to fight over the resources. Despite having just been discovered, Myst was actually already inhabitated by countries that had been isolated all this time - and much to their dismay they were to be brought into the conflict known today as The Mystic Wars. What was a normal war quickly devolved further as - awakened by the conflict - constructs flooded the surface from below with blood lust. It was a massacre, and it was enough to bring sworn enemies to fight alongside eachother as to prevent the destruction of Emagest. They succeeded. There was peace. Then the war between empires continued.
Kinvar was the eventual victor of the conflict overall, taking control of the continent through a vassal country and deals with the other existing empires. With Kinvar now more recently being stretched thin, tension is quickly rising between those that are still sore about the result of the war.

| Constructs from the original Mystic War are still feared and rumored to be lurking, awaiting to flood the surface once again. Some have abandoned this idea as folklore and legend - something that could never happen again, however, what is it that keeps stealing away people in the dark? |

| A group known as the Mystic Knights were originally formed here during the wars as to help prevent mass destruction and to help those that needed it during the conflict. Interestingly, they followed a Lesser Guardian who guided them on their endeavors. They would meet their end centuries later when they turned on one another. Their home lays untouched and the true reasons as to why such an event occurred remain lost. |

| The current Countries of Emagest - under the control of Kinvar - have been escalating conflict. With Kinvar currently spread thin, Emagest has become tired of the rule of Kinvar... and tired of each other. The three major countries of Asylon, Li'Shiom, and the Banded Cities are preparing for war over who rightfully owns the continent. |
