Rirnol Wesawrin

The head of the Wesawrin family, Rirnol is an ex-soldier of the Iriendalian civil war turned successful merchant. He runs the Wesawrin Wares store chain that can be found all around the Aureate Peninsula.

Personal history

Rirnol grew up in the city of Kitorus from a young age, living in a poor home with only his mother. He would go on to become a city guard as it provided well enough. Eventually he met Ellanore Ralor, the daughter of a wealthy merchant from Amatherys, as he was assigned to guard her during a visit to Kitorus. The two of them would become friendly to the point that every time the Ellanore would visit, Rirnol would be requested to watch over her. The two would eventually go on to fall in love and be married. They had a daughter, Ferada, and Ellanore would adopt her father's fortune after his passing, investing it in a number of stores she would call Wesawrin's Wares. Not too long after, the Iriendalian Civil War broke out. Rirnol participated in the conflict against the rebels, but after a particularly harrowing battle at Yorun's Crest, deserted and returned to the Aureate Peninsula (which at the time was beginning to break away from Iriendal). He would return to find Ellanore dealing with Haze Fever. He spent his time caring for her while trying to maintain Wesawrin Wares, but she inevitably passed. Rirnol dedicated himself to the stores, but business was quickly failing. In a desperate measure he began making deals with incoming and outgoing merchants for weaponry and supplies - of which he would sell to the Civil War effort on both sides. By the end of the war, Rirnol was sat on a fortune - enough to be invited to join the newly established Amatherys council. Since the war, Wesawrin Wares has gotten reestablished in its general goods roots, but it still deals in a number of weapon's sales.

Mental Trauma

Rirnol served with the Iriendalian military during the Civil War for roughly 7 months. The largest battle he was a part of was the battle of Yorun's Crest of which he was assigned with a troop defending the west tower. The troop held for 3 nights before the tower fell. Rirnol was one of four survivors out of the troop of two hundred. This battle left him scarred... to the point he deserted and fled back to the Aureate Peninsula.

Morality & Philosophy

Rirnol's main concerns are his daughter and Wesawrin Wares, and he is prepared to do much to protect both. He is haunted by the Civil War, but still sells weaponry, reasoning that people still need to protect themselves. He does regret selling weaponry during the War, but sees it as a necessity to ensure that the business stayed afloat.
Apart from this, Rirnol is a rather jovial individual who is typically carefree and will often crack jokes. He has a lot of loyalty to The Anlivin Accord, giving lots of aid and resources to those who need it most around the Accord having come from a rather poor lifestyle as a child. He doesn't really value money past it keeping Wesawrin Wares running and his daughter in a comfortable lifestyle.
Rirnol is typically seen as the most reasonable council member to the people of the Accord, meaning that they will often come to him about any problems, needs, and other matters so that he can present it to the rest of the council. Rirnol happily obliges as he sees himself relating more to the common folk than the rest of the council.
