Basic Information
Anatomy
Elemental-Kin are humanoids with similarities to Humans in looks and size. While there is some variability in how Elemental-Kin are formed (and what they are formed of), overall they've taken a very Humanlike design.
Biological Traits
While in the Elemental stage, they don't really have a gender. As they become Elemental-Kin, they will often choose their form as it becomes much more akin to other species. Other than appearance, this choice doesn't usually affect much else - especially since Elemental-Kin do not reproduce through normal means.
Growth Rate & Stages
Elemental-Kin do not grow - in a traditional sense at least. They do lose energy over time, causing them to go though side effects similar to aging (notably getting weaker and losing hair color). As they lose energy, they also change coloration, often becoming lighter in color. Once they've lost too much energy to keep up their form, they dissipate, and while the individual is gone, new elementals can be formed from the process.
Ecology and Habitats
Elemental-Kin prefer habitats similar to what they are formed of.
Storm Elemental-Kin will often follow lightening storms as it is energizing to them. Most are found in areas of frequent storms. They will often also live on mountains as to get as close to the sky as possible.
Sand Elemental-Kin mainly live in deserts and among the sandier regions of the world. Some have found homes by the oceanside as well.
Ice Elemental-Kin tend to make their home in the northern region of the world. Places that are usually inhospitable to others due to the extreme temperatures are perfect for them.
Fire Elemental-Kin prefer the hotter areas of the world. They can often be found around volcanos or deserts.
Finally, there are Void Elemental-Kin which are a bit of an interesting case. They will often either be found in the depths of Vathos or as high up to Choros as possible. An optimal biome for them are the Glittering Caves found within Vathos.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Elemental-Kin eat normal foods despite their origin. While they have come from a non-physical form that didn't have need for food, they must maintain their body.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Elemental-Kin are widespread in the world, but the largest population can be found on Olasengrad, their birthplace. Olasengrad has the highest concentration of elemental energy making it a popular spot for Elemental entities.
Average Intelligence
Elemental-Kin will more than often forget most if not all of their life as an Elemental . They however, keep their kinship with the elementals and still bear a connection to the elemental energy around the world.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
With their special attunement to the world around them, Elemental-Kin are able to peer into the physicality of creation, often seeing the true nature of their surroundings. With this sight, they can see through Illusion and detect things unseen by the naked eye. This is referred to as Truesight.
Civilization and Culture
History
Elemental-Kin, along with the Draconic Entities and Primordials, were born of the remains of The Dragon after sacrificing himself in the Rend to save Olasengrad. A mass of elemental energy was released across the continent, and from this chaos, the Elementals were made. Over time, as a side effect of the growing magic in the world, some elementals became powerful enough to take a more physical form, becoming the Elemental-Kin.
