Gottfried, First Knight of the New Dawn

As a devout member of the Radiance, Gottfried Griseldi played many parts from run of the mill soldier to General of his own task force. He was beloved by many of his subordinates.

In his early years Gottfried Griseldi started as a poor infantry soldier under Shas Carim's military force known as the Radiance. Rapidly moving up through the ranks due to his semi-divine heritage and extreme faith in Tokal the Radiant Sun, Gottfried soon found himself in the position of General of his own task force. During his military career, Gottfried spent most if not all of his time devoted to Tokal. He often spent so long away, that he missed all of his children's births and subsequent birthdays. His servitude to Tokal and the Radiance kept him away for so long it was a rumor among his subordiantes that he had forgotten the names of his children. This rumor happens to be true, and Gottfried regrets this fact deeply.

In his old age, Gottfried heard wind of this "New Dawn" from the other world. So he set out to find this New Dawn and devote himself to them. This lead his granddaughter, Lina Griseldi to leave Shas Carim in search of him. It was during this adventure that she came across the Crystal Orchids after a hard battle and joined them in search of her grandfather. Upon finding this New Dawn he found out this god was a man named Feidunn Jericho. Feidunn being the selfless and caring person he has always been, made Gottfried the First Knight of the New Dawn promising that his duty and faith come second to his happiness.

Gottfried now lives out his days surrounded by his family and overseeing the Temple of Dawn in Crossing City. You can often find him at Lina's tavern on the Arixian side of the city, enjoying the company of his companions and his graddaughter.
