Continent of Eridos

Eridos is a continent marked by its stark contrasts and the scars left behind by the gods during the Great Sundering. Divided into three distinct regions, each with its own unique ecosystem and inhabitants, Eridos is a land of untamed beauty, enduring resilience, and ancient secrets.   The Scorched Plains: The vast desert that covers the majority of Eridos, the Scorched Plains are a testament to the destructive power of the gods during the Great Sundering. Once a verdant and bountiful land, the plains were left scorched and barren in the aftermath of the divine conflict. Despite the harsh conditions, several hardy and resourceful tribes have managed to adapt and survive in the desert, relying on their knowledge of the land and its scarce resources to sustain them. The Scorched Plains are also home to ancient ruins and relics from the time before the Great Sundering, some of which are believed to hold the secrets of the gods themselves.   The Caelondra Wyldwood: In the northwest of Eridos lies the lush and vibrant rainforest known as the Caelondra Wyldwood. This thriving ecosystem stands in stark contrast to the arid desert that dominates the rest of the continent, serving as a reminder of the region's former glory. The Caelondra Wyldwood is home to numerous exotic species of flora and fauna, as well as a handful of reclusive tribes who have made the rainforest their home. These tribes revere the forest and its life-giving properties and have developed a deep connection to the land and its spirits.   Xochi Island and Archipelago: To the southwest of Eridos, a massive island and its surrounding archipelago offer a respite from the desolation of the Scorched Plains. These islands are blessed with fertile soil and abundant natural resources, making them an ideal location for agriculture and trade. The inhabitants of the island have established thriving communities centered around farming, fishing, and maritime commerce, fostering strong connections with neighboring continents. The archipelago also serves as a popular destination for explorers, traders, pirates, and adventurers seeking to uncover the secrets and treasures hidden within its many islands.
