Sea Scape - Prompt Entry

(Describe an important trade hub in your world) Sea Scape sits on the edge of the island, being the trading hub for the island. With ships and goods coming almost every day, foreign goods and equipment are imported and sold on the island, while some of their goods and equipment from Myranelynia are sold there, packaged, and boarded onto the ship. Representatives from all three kingdoms work and/or live in this city to ensure the safety of the people.

Demographics

The population of Sea Scape is nearly all Earthein, with a few Cloudiaons and Fountanians living there. Almost everyone lives on a floor above or below the shop they have, except for a few merchants (families), who own many of the business and goods being sold. One such merchant family that lives in Sea Scape is the Dahlian Family.

Defences

A wall surronds the city to the rest of the island, and both guards on land and underwater keep track of who is coming and going. the guards on land ensure no one but Myranelynians enter the island, unless for international affairs. the guards underwater check to make sure there is enough room for ships to pass by and dock as well as to check to ensure no ships are brining or taking anything illegal with them.

Infrastructure

Every store building and business has been built up by the people running it. every time a shop closes or loses business, it's torn down so a new building for a business can be built and accommodate whatever the business needs. Aside from the shops and homes, a harbor and shipyard has also been built, allowing them to trade effectively with the other islands.

Stores and shops selling goods of Myranelynia to travelers, and shops selling foreign goods from other islands to the people of Myranelynia.

Guilds and Factions

While being a part of the Earthein Kingdom, Sea Scape is predominantly run by the high ranking merchants, who keep tabs on goods and trading. They write down weekly reports that are taken to the Earthein capital, Sage Town, and take care of any immediate decisions on trading and law breaks.

History

Not long after peace treaties and alliances were made with Ashein and Kugodor, a dock was built to allow ships from those two islands to come and drop off goods. later, several warehouses were built to store goods that would be exported to trade with the other islands. Soon, shops stand, and homes were built to accommodate people living and trading at the docs, ensuring products and sellers were available whenever a ship arrived. Soon, Myranleynia started trading with a few other islands, namely Paestoin and (Afrofuturism) and thus ships were coming and going nearly every day. Even though most ships coming in were on honest terms, some came for illegal or unjust reasons, and so a wall was built and security measures put in place.

Architecture

The architecture of Sea Scape matches that of Earthein and the rest of the island, with a slight exception. the bottom of the shop/home buildings are made of cut stone (mostly imported) and the top is made of wood paneling, brightly painted.
