Velerius, the mad star

Myrandria has three satellites. Velerius, the mad star, is a small planetoid that orbits Myrandria in an irregular orbit that sees one complete rotation in 36 days. Due to its strange cycle, the tiny moon is rarely visible and when it is, the color it bares in the sky tends to be wild and unpredictable, going as far as shimmering or brightly glowing during its brief bouts of visibility. For as long as civilization has existed, the mad star has greatly intrigued astronomers and theologists, while simultaneously terrifying the general populous of the world. There are no end to the rumors that surround this planetary mass, and it is considered an ill omen if one gazes upon this lunar body during daylight hours.
