A Condition to Change the World

Aspects are a new phenomenon in the world. Recently, they have appeared in virtually every person on the planet, though there cause is unknown. Many people have different theories about the cause. Aspects are magical properties embedded in someone's soul that allows them to do incredible things. Until now, magic was always thought of as a myth, or something only incredibly few people (like ~.00001% of the world population) could do. But Aspects are not the same, at least the scientists and philosophers of the world do not think so.

Transmission & Vectors

In the year 2344, many people witnessed a flash of light that has unknown origins. Pretty much everyone was hit with this light and is the likely cause. About ten months later, when a child of a noblemen from Rhyfeland--who was conceived and born after that event--had an Aspect, it was proven that it was genetic.

Treatment

Some organizations, (such as the Demonstalkers), experiment and "treat" people with Aspects. Though because everyone has Aspects, the Demonstalkers do not have to look far. Legit scientific and medical guilds have decreed  that Aspects are completely harmless by themselves, it depends on what the Aspect is and how the user uses it.

History

The Aspectal Lights (the event that gave humans Aspects) occurred last year in 2344, and since then chaos has ensued. Along with general widespread hysteria from most of the world's population, criminals and warlords became more bold and started pillaging and raiding more, now with Aspects. Many countries created elite squads of loyal Aspect users to combat this (In Nosledinia, for example, a large warship known as Hell's Rain deals with pirates who use Aspects). Universities are completely focused on this phenomenon as well, studying and identifying the cause of the event and the Aspects it gave to people.

Examples of Aspects include Firehanded (can shoot fire from the users hand), Winged (can fly with a pair of wings), and Mind Thief (can see someone's memories).
