Brindisium

This nation came to be when the Kayomar Emperor and his refugee followers returned at the end of the Winter Dark. Finding Kayomar now occupied and governed by new peoples they found the lightly populated IATIA PENINSULA. Here they founded the City of Brindisium which is the capital. The Imperial ways spread and the land is wealthy and noted for its well ordered towns and paved roads. It is also known of its wines and marble. The MERCHANTS OF BRINDISIUM are renowned world wide for the prowess in all fields of trade.
The EMPEROR OF BRINDISIUM eventually overplayed his power and was deposed. The leading families having rid themselves of a troublesome autocrat decided to try to rule themselves in the form of a Senate led by two elected Counsils.
Today this is the safest and most settled of the new Nations, and is a springboard for economic activity. It's eyes are often turned to the DARKENFOLD, the great forest to their north. Where resources abound.
