Angels of Vengeance
The Angels of Vengeance, a militant ultra-feminist go-gang originating from the Seattle-Tacoma Metroplex, have undergone significant evolution and engagement with rival gangs and criminal elements. Eventually, they forged an alliance with the Stormraven Nomad Family, serving as its security and outrider contingent.
The Angels prioritize internal security and safeguarding Stormraven camps from all potential threats. Each Angel undergoes rigorous training akin to professional military standards. They organize into three distinct groups: scouts, outriders, and support.
Scouts, equipped with fast, well-armed but lightly armored Zonda Metros, venture far from the camps or caravans. They operate relatively independently, carrying supplies to sustain them for up to a week without returning to the main camps. Outriders form the backbone of the Angels' military force. They ride in close proximity to the caravans, often intermingling with them in formations known as circles. The position within the circle denotes the distance from the camp or caravan, with higher numbers indicating farther out. Outriders utilize a variety of vehicles, ranging from armed motorcycles to armored Metros and all-terrain trucks, some of which are equipped with heavy weapons and state-of-the-art drone launchers.
The support group comprises medics, mechanics, gunsmiths, and ripperdocs. Unlike other parts of the Angels, non-Angels are allowed to operate within this group, often collaborating directly with Stormraven personnel.
When the Angels venture into cities, they will actively protect women and children, even if it requires resorting to lethal force against abusive men, pimps, and slavers. They frequently recruit women from these dire circumstances, offering integration into either the Angels or the Stormravens. Sometimes, these men may not be killed, but converted into women and turned as joygirls.
Drawing inspiration from Bushido, Scandinavian warrior ethos, and adopting elements of the Stormraven's ancestor worship, the Angels maintain distinctive traditions. Each camp includes a separate area designated for their soldiers, although they embrace intermarriage within the Stormraven family. Despite this integration, the Angels assert a sense of superiority over the nomad clan, with leadership emphasizing the importance of maintaining an aura of aloof pride and strength.
The Angels primarily operate as an exclusively female gang. The only men allowed full membership are either homosexual men, or transgendered men or women. All of the leadership is female, while the NCO's can be male or female. All start as Initiates.
Structure
The Table of Organization of the Angels is straightforward:
In total command of the Angels of Vengeance stands the Supreme Archangel. Holding authority over all Angel operations, the Supreme Archangel also serves as the vital link between the Angels and the Council of Elders of the Stormravens. Special missions are designated or must be sanctioned by the Supreme Archangel whenever feasible.
Under the Supreme Archangel's command are the Archangels, each tasked with leading larger units independent of the primary Nomad Pack. Aligned with the Stormravens' three distinct families, each family accommodates an Angel contingent overseen by an Archangel.
Additionally, there are Archangels entrusted with commanding the three foundational unit divisions: Outriders, Support, and Scouts. These leaders are responsible for overseeing specialized operations within their respective units, ensuring efficiency and coordination.
Under the Archangels, the Seraphim assume the role of battlefield commanders, overseeing the outriders affiliated with their respective families. They often ride in armored trucks equipped for battlefield surveillance, providing strategic oversight. Some Seraphim accompany the commander in a large armored truck, issuing active commands to the Zero Circle riders. There's constant communication between the Outrider Seraphim and the Zero Circle Seraphim.
With the integration of Death Head drones, Seraphim gain access to valuable battlefield telemetry. Two Seraphim are assigned to each Archangel, alternating between commanding the outriders and overseeing the Zero Circle operations. This arrangement ensures effective coordination and adaptability within the Angel structure.
Next in the hierarchy are the Archons, serving as field commanders akin to lieutenants or captains. They lead individual units comprising ten Metro and ten motorcycle units.
The NCOs of the Angels, known as paladins, serve at every level of command. At the Seraphim level, they hold the title of Senior Paladin, while at the Archangel level, they are referred to as Paladin Commanders. The Paladin serving the Supreme Archangel is designated as the Supreme Paladin. Paladins, often seasoned warriors, are highly respected within the Angel Structure, handling combat and driving training, as well as administering recruitment tests.
At the base of the hierarchy are the Angels, all trained in combat and driving. Those demonstrating aptitude may serve in support units as medics, specialize in drone and net support, work as technitions responsible for equipment maintenance or fixers responsible for equipment procurement.
A specialized group within the Angels operates outside the main hierarchy, focusing on managing the joytoys affiliated with both the Stormravens and Angels. These joytoys originate from diverse sources; some are individuals within the Stormravens who choose to engage in sex work, while others are individuals rescued from such circumstances but struggle to overcome the programming imposed on them, often involving braindance training.
For the Angels, this arrangement is perceived as mutually beneficial. The individuals involved are afforded the opportunity to engage in activities they desire or are capable of under the protection of the Angels. Simultaneously, the Angels and Clans share the profits generated from these arrangements, creating a symbiotic relationship.
Tenets of Faith
Among the newer recruits, there's a growing trend to adopting the polyglot practices of Ancestor Worship and Totemic Spirituality shown by the Stormravens. This influence is particularly evident among scouts and outriders who personalize their regular vehicles with Native motifs and representations of their respective totem animals.
Ethics
The Angels uphold principles of honor and strength in combat. While they do not adhere to any formal religion, they require all members to adhere to an adapted blend of Bushido combined with Scandinavian warrior traditions. However, their codes of honor extend exclusively to the Angels and Stormravens. They recognize enemies as honorable only if they demonstrate honor in combat; otherwise, the Angels show no restraint. A prevailing belief within the group is that mercy equates to weakness, and they adhere to the principle of not leaving an enemy behind unless they are certain they will not pose a threat again.
