Nyai paste

Nyai are books worn around the neck in the Raron Kingdom, and magicians create special pastes for people to cover the pages so that they are protected from rain or other damage. Pages can still be ripped or cut, but they are protected from the elements by a thick slathering of paste. Once nyai paste has been applied, ink can no longer be applied naturally.
