Deeug shaam

A deeug shaam, or fire lock, is a lock made of enchanted metal, often used for jewelry boxes in Raro. A metal loop is fastened to the box and a curved piece of metal is fastened on the lid so that the curved piece can slide through the loop. This forms the basis for the lock, but then certain magical spells are placed upon it. Fire locks earn their name from the most common curse set upon the locks: whoever opens the box without invitation is burned, often branded with some sign by the locksmith or the owner of the box.
