Ley/Ley Lines

Magical energy flows invisibly around Mundus a beautiful tapestry that appears in the form of ley lines, also known as roots. These leylines that when utilized correctly, enable the use of arcane, primal, and bardic magic. These flows transform the environment, especially where they converge. The nexus points they converge in are known as "ravelings" and powerful magic can occur in these areas.
During certain times of the year, such as the celestial solstice, fall equinox, etc., many of these ley lines become stronger, causing the barrier that separates the planes to weaken. It is during one of these that the Feywild completely converged with the Material Plane, causing the two to become completely intertwined.
It is said that the most ancient of Dragons build up enough arcane power to eventually become ravelings themselves.
In recent years there has been developments made to syphon energy made from these leylines to amplify the given magic of a specific area. Some have speculated that it might even be possible to alter a leylines trajectory with the right arcane know-how.
