Hobgoblins

These reddish brown skinned goblins are larger than their smaller green skinned brethren (see Goblin) and are also more versatile. Hobgoblin warriors are often better equipped and can prove quite a challenge in battle. Hobgoblins think their selves better than other goblinoids, but tend to follow some greater being. Similar to normal goblins, hobgoblins tend to be aggressive but are not necessarily barbarians and can restrain themselves from battle if need be. Among their combat oriented ones the following types can be differentiated:

Hobgoblin Warrior. The most common hobgoblin bearing decent armor, a longsword, a shield and a longbow.
Hobgoblin Captain (Uncommon). A fearsome challenge when fighting together with allies. The captain bears similar armor to his warriors but utilizes a greatsword with his increased strength.
Hobgoblin Devastator (Rare). These hobgoblin mages are very powerful and tend to lead entire tribes. Hobgoblin devastators are very dangerous and should be avoided by non seasoned adventurers.
