The Four Week Rebellion

It was a month long conflict all across Laurencia, starting and ending in Heimal, Inspired by the unknown assassin who executed the entire Imperial family. Rebel groups all across Laurencia rose up simultaneously against the garrisons of the Empire and due to a lack of organized leadership the legions of the once great Petulic Empire crumbled, or even became turncoats and joined the side of the rebels; only increasing the fall of the empire.   Neighbor slew neighbor, mother fought daughter, and blood colored the streets. The conflict, though short, was the bloodiest in Laurencia's history. The Old Legion was known as the pinnacle of military prowess in its day, over 500,000 soldiers in all, but by the end of Heimal it had been decimated by the untamed mass of the rebel's swords and spells.
