Orc
Orcs trace their creation to the one-eyed god Gruumsh, an unstoppable warrior and powerful leader. The divine qualities of Gruumsh resonate within orcs, granting them a reflection of his toughness and tenacity that can’t be matched, and the god equipped his children to be able to live above or below ground. In ancient stories, Gruumsh was once a kind and loving god, but many years ago the gods were designating homelands for their people, and Gruumsh and the elven goddess Corellon got into an argument on who’s people got to live in the forests. It’s said that Corellon striked Gruumsh without warning, injuring him and removing one of his eyes, and whilst he recovered she stole the forests for her elves, leaving Gruumsh’s orcs to live in the caves. This moment turned Gruumsh into the god of vengeance as he became obsessed and filled with hatred at this moment, and this influence can still be seen in his followers. Gruumsh’s blessings have made orcs tireless guardians and mighty allies wherever they are found, even when they turn their devotion to other gods. Though in modern times many orcs have moved on, either not at all or only worshiping Gruumsh a little bit. Some orcs still follow their god on his trail of vengeance and war, hunting down and slaughtering elves anywhere they can be found.
