Military action
The orcs had once again found a great Chieftan, Torog the huge, and once again laid siege to the elven kingdoms. This time the dwarfs helped the elves defeat the orcs, in exchange for the promise of riches. After the war ended the elves pay the dwarves short of what they promised, this angered the dwarves who in turn declared war on the elves.
The orcs had once again found a great Chieftan, Torog the huge, and once again laid siege to the elven kingdoms. The war seemed lost for the elves even their gods could little against the unending green tide, and the elven dwindling population, for elves are not the most fertile of species, forced them to fight severely outnumbered. The elves asked the dwarves for help, initially, the dwarves were reluctant to join another war with the orcs, but then the elves promised them the weight in gold of every dwarven warrior they sent to help them. The dwarves, always keen to amass great riches accepted the elves' proposal. After the war ended the elves pay the dwarves short of what they promised, this angered the dwarves who in turn declared war on the elves.
