Founding

After five thousand years of roaming Mundus Melkan the firstborn and the seven dwarven tribes had finally found where to build their magnificent kingdom. The spine of the world, the mightiest mountain range in Ishar. After Slaying Ardoth the massive red dragon living in the mountains Melkan founded eight cities one for him and one for each of his children.

After five thousand years of roaming Mundus Melkan the firstborn and the seven dwarven tribes had finally found where to build their magnificent kingdom. The spine of the world, the mightiest mountain range in Ishkar. Unfortunately for the dwarves, the ancient and powerful red dragon Ardoth had already chosen the mountain as his home and, the greed of dwarves only second to dragons no way was found to share the mountains and their mineral treasure. Ardoth wanted to enslave the dwarves for the kobolds he had been using to excavate the mountain riches were incompetent and inefficient. The dwarves in turned believed they were destined to colonize those mountains and create marvelous cities to please their god for that is what he created them for and no other mountain was as rich as this one. So as many times before and many after the only solution found when words fail was war and a mighty one at that; for if the dwarves were many tough warriors with master forged arms to envy a god's craft, Ardoth was the largest and more powerful red dragon to ever sore the skies of Mundus and he had seven children, who as red dragons go, were second only to their father.   But after much fighting, some say a hundred years some say a thousand, the dwarves manage to slay the terrible Ardoth, his children fled swearing vengeance and though at a great cost, for he had lost an eye and a leg and many more their lives, Melkan and the dwarves could finally settle and build the kingdom that would honor their god. Eight cities were built, one for each dwarven tribe guided by each child of Melkan and one for the firstborn himself, the greatest city Karak Barak Ardoth ( the mountain of the strong red).
