The Fomorians tricked by the hags and cursed to be monstrous declare war on the Eladrin.

Aisling the princes of the Fomorians, a beautiful race of huge humanoids, loses a beauty competition to Titania the summer queen of the Eladrin. The green hags, always treacherous, and envious of beauty they can only possess through illusions, convince her that the summer queen cheated laying in bed with each of the judges to secure her victory; furious Aisling accepted a deal with the hags, she will declare eternal war with the Eladrin in exchange for her and her subjects to become even more beautiful. Aisling convinced almost All of the Fomorians to follow her to the ritual, In the darkest night of winter (which is not cold yet it was only the season in which the winter king ruled over all of the Eladrin) she and her followers were transformed, though she could not see due to the darkness she could feel with her hands her feature, delicate, soft, perfect. When she got home tough she took a look in the mirror to see a purple sicky deformed, bubonic figure, she was a monster and her followers too. Enraged Aisiling confronted the hags who assured her that this was the fault of a curse by the Eladrin, she would be beautiful only in the darkest dark and monstrous if the light touched her, but she and the other Fomorians could spread their curse to the Eladrin, a wound by their monstrous claw would pass the curse to any victim, transforming any immortal creature in a deformed monster with a ravaged mind and killing any mortal. Convinced by the hags the Fomorian declared eternal war with the Eladrin to break the curse and enact vengeance.
