Dwarf

The second major sentient being of Mundomirum.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A stout humanoid being that is generally muscular and short. They have short limbs and large hairy hands and feet. Their bodies generally have lots of hair apart from the face and palms of their hand.

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce similarly to elves however the gestation period is only 7 1/2 months due to the fact dwarf babies are generally quite small.

Growth Rate & Stages

Dwarfs are generally born small and grow slowly until about 10 when they start growing rapidly. At 15 they stop growing in height however their muscles, bones and brain develop until they're 25. Their lifespan is around 90 however some have been known to live to 120.

Ecology and Habitats

They live in rocky caves and mountains as well as dusty plains where they thrive.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They find dust worms in their 1000s every week from scouring the plains. One worm when cooked is sufficient for 2 dwarfs for a day as their nutritional value is excellent. Dwarfs don't generally produces faeces as they manage to extract all from most food sources.

Biological Cycle

Dwarfs don't notice the passing of the seasons however most are born in autumn.
