Dwarf-Elf
A rare cross-breed of the generally separated elves and dwarfs.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They are moderately tall humanoid hybrids of dwarfs and elves. They're generally very strong as they usually have the most effective genes from each parent.
Genetics and Reproduction
They have an 8 month and 3 week gestation period - halfway between that of a dwarf and a elf.
Growth Rate & Stages
They grow at a constant rate until they are 18 when they are physically, emotionally, and magically mature. They generally live for 130 years.
Ecology and Habitats
They generally live in lush habitats however they can adapt to most environments.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are skilled hunters and forage for food as they can sense life's presence. They can digest most foods except dust worms which they are unable to eat due to the fact only dwarf's jaws are powerful enough to separate the juicy dust worm from its spiny tail.
Biological Cycle
Dwarf-elves are generally born in the autumn and in the winter their magic drains to that of an elf however this is only temporary.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Complex interspecies relations however usually nomadic.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They are incredibly smart and their magical abilities are the most powerful of every creature. Their eyesight is great whilst their hearing and sense of smell is amazing. Like dwarfs they can communicate with most sentient being without speech even if they have speak to reply. They can sense their surrounding with ease and are sensitive to death as it can make the dwarf-elf stagger or pass out whilst birth can give the species a temporary sense of euphoria.
