The Long Night Report

General Summary

The Night of the 16th of Someirarch

11 Days SDORK

Night With a Were-rat

With high winds picking up out of the east the Reconcilers settle into the Thimbletop home for a sleepless night. Athena and Fiona are exhausted from the strain of rowing through the night in order to get to Riparian to help with Lion Full (how a full moon of the Lion is referenced in the region). Melatona, sleepy but not yet exhausted, decides to cheer up the otherwise dreary house with an improvised comedy routine that goes incredibly well providing many laughs and hours of distraction until Fiona picks up raspy laughing and garbled words coming from the meat freezer. Investigating, reveals some insight into the transformation process that poor BinBin goes through. According to Fiona's deductions it appears the Were-creature within the girl is evolving, coming into its own. The interactions with the were-beast are more intelligent, with it rhyming much of what it says, its pleas more towards reason and less towards outright violence. However, it is still very off putting for both the Reconcilers and the Thimbletops so Melatona decides to annoy and mess with the creature through an invasive Dancing Lights spell in the creatures face continually throughout the night. Conversations about morals and other topics are discussed with Nibbles and other memebers of the party until the Were-Rat in the basement insists she can smell death on the wind. A loud sonorous horn blast pierces through the night soon after. DinBin pontificates in confusion, informing his guests that that horn is only reserved for calling out raids and invasions during the long dark of Aphelion. Tempted by curiosity and maybe some low key character flaws, Fiona Athena and Nibbles voice there desire to investigate....
