Death House Done, Now What Report

General Summary

Upon returning to the village of Wolgast the party talks amongst themselves trying to figure out how both Fiona and Melatona are alive and what this might mean. Their first order of business is to go check on the children rescued from the hags lair. Visiting the Ortega household, they discover that Rona has gone into town and Mateo is home babysitting the baby that was found and rescued from the hags home. After a tense and revealing discussion with Mateo the party sets off towards the center of town. There they find that a grateful mother, Rona, along with Jhon have shoved the Mayor in a stockade and are whipping him. The surrounding Wolgastians argue and picker about what the fate of the Mayor should be since he has been outed for his "betrayal" of the town. Some didn't mind the hag because they remember the days of the lizard folk clans and that is was much worse and the sacrifice of a few children a year was worth it to not have to fight for survival. Rona and Jhon and Rathar and other parents were inciting the crowd to murder the Mayor for his crimes when the party stepped in. Through appeals of logic from the stoic monk Fiona and an impassioned speech from Melatona about the consequences of "eye for an eye" justice the crowd eventually disppersed without any violence. This display of calm in the face of a mob attracted the attention of a Constance Klaseroux and her guardian automaton. She introduced herself as first cousin-once removed of the Kaiserine herself and Tax Collector/Census Taker for the Small Folks Alliance. Through conversation it comes up that the Reconcilers were the ones that scared off the harpy flock which will now allow Constance to depart Wolgast, as she has been stuck there longer than she liked. She thanks them and offers them a reward for their deeds. She gives the party a detailed, government approved map of Alliance territory, and their choice of the deed to one of the several now abandoned manors and their associated fiefs. With reluctance the party takes the gifts from Constance and retires for the evening inside the Mayoral Manor.
