Faer-Aleia <SC-B2>

Ite-Fen... Follow Fii's guiding winds, as you weave the flowing threads of Fate. Let your foes feel Nel's cold mercy, as your blood's will twists the shadows... Cast to the Nykiris Tel Faer... A twisted path ahead, and behind...

Faer-Aleia, Atrii Thriis-Sithel Liir-Naliin Lekniir-Trii Sval-Kyr-Riin Fii-Nel-Telv (a.k.a. Faer, Kid, Ite-Fen, Ite-Lekniir)

"... I could use the combat practice." She gives a fanged grin.
Direct quote from Faer after someone told her to be careful of another. Feisty little thing, isn't she?

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Often her 'human' appearances are not completely human. Her current favored form has a reptilian tail, small wings, slightly pointed nails almost like claws, sharpened teeth and fangs, as well as pointed ears, rarely small horns. The wings and tail are covered in blue and black scales, and sometimes the wings are larger, usually for combat or intimidation.
Runic markings
On many of her forms, Faer has markings matching some of her magical capability. In her primal earth human form, black runes swirl across her upper arms and back. A white ring of runes circles her left forearm, while an ice blue ring circles her right, both glowing softly. The left half of her face also has some deep blue runes across it. These are, oddly, not tattoos or paint.

Special abilities

Faer is a powerful mage and born Incarnate. Wielding her mother's control over ice, as well as her father's demon-blooded shadow manipulation. Having also inherited their connections to two of their worlds Gods: Fii (Fate) and Nel (Death).
She is a shapeshifter of limited capability on Primal Earth (in-game, at least!), though more capable of fine changes to her form than Nykira. Flight and teleportation are primary methods of traveling long distances. In combat she's on foot, using quick, short-range teleports and enhanced jumps to navigate. Unleashing freezing, temporal, and shadowy hell on her enemies after pulling them next to her. Using her own manipulation of time to enhance her and her allies' capabilities or heal injuries to ensure survival. And if that falters? She can draw off the life forces of her opponents to restore her energy, or get back up if she falls.
She's also capable of limited foresight. Generally able to not pry accidently, though crowds overwhelm and blind her. She can view pasts much more easily, but again generally doesn't pry. Usually she only uses this in combat on a very small scale to help her and her allies land and avoid taking hits.
She is learning Kizin soul magic to take the place of Nel's power in her abilities. While overall weaker than Nel's power was, this is much better suited to how she was using that divine tie. It's also a lot harder to corrupt in the same way.

Arcane reserves:
Native Frost: Active and healthy, no risk of loss.
Xaikith Shadow: Active and healthy, no risk of loss.
Fii's Power: Active and healthy, no risk of loss.
Nel's Power: Absent.
Kizin Soul: Small and growing.
Light: Small but growing, and connected to a link with someone else. She isn't... really sure what to make of having this.

Incarnate:
Her incarnate abilities are largely an extension of her already existing magic, though her Incarnate link now ties her to Nykira, not the Well of the Furies.

Apparel & Accessories

Necklace:
A small but sturdy Iron chain with three charms hanging from it. Two of the charms are crystals, hanging from clasps attached to small chains that have an anchor inside the crystal itself. The third is three linked discs about the size of coins between the two crystals.

In the left crystal is a complicated rune. Gifted to her by Watcher, protection from eldritch though it sits inactive, she has to channel power through it to activate it. (Doesn't want to accidentally drive off her friend, after all.)

In the right crystal is a much simpler rune. A scrying anchor to make her easier to target with such magic. This is for Nykira to find her should she be otherwise difficult to track. Though others may be able to use it against her.

The center charm is three small disks, each not much larger than coins, hanging from one another off the necklace's chain. They look to be made of iron and have designs seeped in magic on them.
The top disk is edged with something resembling Celtic knot-work, shimmering faintly in a prismatic iridescence. In the middle of this is a split flame, one half shimmering the usual warm reds, oranges, and yellows. The other half shimmers a pale, near-white blue at its core, growing to a deep, dark blue toward the edges.
The disk hanging below it has flowing designs around the edges, colored like the ocean and sky. A sharp, crystalline pattern of a snowflake, colored like glacial ice, in the middle.
The bottom disk features a stylized dragon's upper half, four wings extending from it, head bowed. Deep blue and black, with specks of white shifting across the design. The eyes almost seem to glow the same pale blue as the top disk's fire.
Dagger and Containment Crystal
The dagger is made of a specially enchanted ice. It will not sharpen until held and within the blade are several carefully chosen runes meant to pull out a very specific part of a soul it cuts. It's tuned in a way that will cut out the part of her soul that is tied to her most ancient and primal magic from her home, something that can't really be used outside of Zaikiri anyway but is still held close to the hearts of Thriis.
The smaller crystal that she carries beside the dagger is linked to it, meant to hold this soul fragment and/or energy until use.

Specialized Equipment

Weapons
Dual Swords (Pending names):
A pair of blades with runes along their lengths and eyes embeded in the crossguard that blink and look around. And they talk to her, but they're not evil! Just... very lonely and glad to have someone to talk to other than themselves for once in who knows how long.
Other than that they don't have much in the way of special properties, she is quite capable with them however.

Siithvarii:
Nykira's Ascendant artifact, empowering almost any who try to wield it. With every use of this, Faer's incarnate tie to her mother becomes stronger.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

"Ter, no, I am not from Earth, nor am I human if the wings and tail didn't give that away. My world was called Zaikiri by its inhabitants. Miira, magic, flowed strongly through the environment there. The technology there was not as advanced as it is here but was still advancing at its own pace.
"My kind call ourselves 'Thriis', closest translation is 'dragon' and even that doesn't quite feel like it fits. Thriis is more of an... overarching name for a number of different but related species. I, myself, am a Liir-Naliin. Liiral means shapeshifter... I'm not sure what Naliin is closest to here, but I know we were rarer, hatched only to certain pairings. A hybrid species."
A saddened smile crosses her features, a slight droop to her small wings, and even her tail's swishing grows weaker.
"I... keep speaking of these things in the past tense, don't I? Because Zaikiri of my timeline is gone, the magic drained completely from the core, though I was raised in another that still lives... I could not find myself able to fit in, so I left. I sought out my Rethliin, my mother, as the only other known survivor from our timeline. She, in turn, sent me here to learn, and for my safety..."
She shakes her head slightly.
"There are times where I wish I could return, to see Zaikiri again. But we cannot return home, for it would kill the world again. And it is hard for me to forget that... I am the last of my kind, the last Naliin of my timeline... Fitting, perhaps, that I hatched with close ties to our Retae, Divines, Fii and Nel... Fate and Death. Instead of having a tie to Aliith, Life."

Faer's history is... well... Things were bad before they even had a chance to start, to put it simply.
Endings and beginnings.
Descended from two powerful Thriis. Her mother Nykira; an Ice-blooded Liir-Drethii, a conduit of the god Fii, the Thriis divine of Fate, and a fully-fledged Incarnate when on Primal Earth. Her father Tiiran; a fire-blooded Liir-Therii of demonic descent who managed to become archmage of a city for a while, as well as a conduit of the goddess Nel, the Thriis divine of Death.
Faer has quite the heritage, to say the least.
Unfortunately. Zaikiri was suffering from a global loss of magic, as it was seeping from its core. A patch was able to be placed to halt this, though Nykira and Tiiran had nothing to do with it, as they were expecting the nest to be filled soon. Nykira wasn't willing to risk going into what would have been a high-magic area while carrying eggs to gods only knew what results on the young. Tiiran refused to leave her unprotected for longer than it would take him to hunt or patrol, even if she had Fii backing her.
Five eggs in the nest, Faer's was one of them. Tiiran at one point told Nykira he wanted to name one Aleia. 'Flower', in their native language. Nykira was amused at that, coming from someone that held a tie to a goddess of death, but had no complaints.
Then the patch failed, the magic drain was worse than before. The gods' connection to their world straining and ultimately growing quiet even to their conduits. Tiiran vanished on a hunt. Nykira couldn't sustain magic for more than one egg of the nest.
Fortune would have it, however. That Faer had developed enough to have a mind that could be touched, and though it was one hell of a taboo to break... Nykira used her telepathy to speak to her. The only comfort she had at that time, with their world dying. Nykira told Faer her name, of her parents, of her world, and the magic she'd be likely to wield if by some miracle they survived...
Despite the bleakness of it... An interdimensional traveler managed to find them both. With a protective spell cast by Nykira, sent Faer's egg to another timeline of Zaikiri's, and Nykira back to Primal Earth in time to help with the Battalion war.

Remaining time on Zaikiri
[This period stretches about 235 Zaikiri years, or ~286 Earth years]

In Zaikiri's main timeline... Queue one very confused Nykira, finding an egg clearly carrying her magic, that she had no memory of laying. How, as the mother, do you suddenly have a child appear that's clearly yours that you don't remember having? Though she's not one to abandon or leave abandoned an egg, even one as mysterious as this. She took care of Faer. Making sure she hatched well. Fii was the one to answer questions about Faer's origins. Alternate timelines.
Well, Nykira couldn't be mad about mothering a Naliin, for as rare and prized as they were among Thriis. Faer's colors, alongside her magic, spoke much of who her father was. Tiiran and Nykira had been off-and-on mates for a long time as the fates would allow. Even if she was not technically the original mother of this hatchling... she'd do what she could to treat her as if she was.
It was quickly apparent how powerful Faer would become in her hatchlinghood, Nykira had to ask some help from Fii and Nel to train her in controlling her magic. Otherwise, she was a healthy little Naliin, though even at that age she knew things weren't... quite going to work here.
As she grew older, she traveled with Nykira. Her mother keeping a protective eye on her and teaching her as she could. Though as Faer grew older, the fact she had been displaced hadn't been forgotten, her magic was unusual even for her kind. It didn't help she used it a bit differently, she found she could mess with time if only a little bit, among other unintended uses for her magic. She had trouble feeling like she fit in anywhere, an outcast in the world she'd been raised in. Though not entirely uncommon in shapeshifters, it was amplified in her situation.
Two hundred and thirty-ish years she stayed before she decided to depart to locate the Nykira from her timeline. Instead landing in... well, a crossroads between dimensions. Though Nykira, now a Well of Primal earth and adjacent worlds, had been there. A few days later the two ran into each other, and Nykira pulled her to her new home off-world.
Faer also learned she had a human step-mother as a second mother? Nykira hadn't yet mentioned that to Faer, or her new daiith Lilly. Whoops. They're all still getting used to that one.
After teaching Faer some of Primal Earth, and of her magic, she sent her to another timeline of Primal Earth and adjacent worlds for protection. Telling her to learn more of things there. Nykira cannot guarantee Faer's protection... She doesn't want to lose her youngest, and last, daughter. She has a truce with the other Wells, they cannot kill each other, this doesn't extend to those below them. Admittedly... that truce would quickly be broken if Faer was killed by one of the others, and Nykira may very well be one of the more powerful Wells wandering around that part of the multiverse.

Primal Earth
[Starting at 11/14/2020 Earth time, roughly]

Faer landed on primal earth, hiding out in the cave of her mother there (who is the third version of Nykira she's run into. Damn complicated timelines.) Helping expand and build upon what would become a shared home for the two of them. Though Faer and this Nykira would rarely see each other.
Faer quickly made several friends and even found a 'second family' of a sort. Learning much about the local magic and how to control her own power. She reached an incarnate status in less than three months, with a sharp spike in that power when the link was opened.
Nykira was concerned by the rapid growth of Faer's power. Particularly with her linking to the Well so easily without drawing its attention. Though she discovered that Faer had hatched with a natural link to the Well already, it simply needed to be awakened. Something that occurred with the growing mastery of her magic. Faer knows the hazard of rapidly growing that link, and is being cautious with it. Letting it grow more passively as she continues strengthening her regular power.
Faer also made a brief foray into Mot's territory with one of her new friends as backup. Instantly attracting Mot's focused attention. It wants her power for its own, to turn her into a tool due to her naturally divine death magic. Though Nel is not a consuming death god, and Mot feels unholy to Faer.
[Expand later with more in-game stuff.]

"... Faer-Aleia, sole surviving Ascendant of Zaikiri..."

Ascendancy and beyond
[Starting about 382 years ahead of Earth time as of 2022, putting Faer at about 670 Earth years/549 Zaikiri Years old.]

The day that Faer fully inherited Nykira's power as an ascendant, and with it all of her responsibilities, as well as the Archive, is a day that will be burned into her memory for the rest of her frighteningly long life.
Because it was also the day she became the last of her family alive.
She'd already known she'd be the last of her bloodline, and quite possibly the last of her kind if she lived long enough, but it is something else for any of these things to start becoming reality.
At least Faer isn't alone. Niiche, Nykira's arcane construct almost as old as she was, still exists to accompany Faer. Formerly dedicated to simply aiding and protecting Nykira, Niiche has decided to serve whoever becomes the Archive's master. Though hardly a powerful entity on Its own, and certainly not an opponent an Ascendant would have to worry about in a fight. Niiche has almost unparalleled access and control over the Archive's warding, being made by the same creator's signature. If it came down to it, Niiche could lock all but the most determined Ascendant out of the Archive... or within it.
The first two hundred or so years were spent by Faer adjusting, experimenting, learning... And trying not to think of what all laid ahead of her. Tapped into the nearest Source of Power as an Ascendant, it would be but the first of many similiar things she'd tap into, though only very rarely to the same extent.
Balance had to be maintained, and not just in their nearest universes. Though so much ground to cover did provide plenty of chances to explore and learn. Something to do to keep boredom at bay with an eternity to look forward to.
It also provided chances to see others she'd crossed paths with again, in a way. Though these were not the exact same person, it would be enough to keep their faces from fading in her memory.

A Upon a Fractured World
[Referancing Faer Aleia <SC-D>, though that page is unfinished atm.]

On one of these worlds where she met familiar faces, there were some... interesting side-effects of one of the combat styles she picked up. A part of her manifested as a separate personality, even making it as far as to appear with their own body, looking like a clone of her. Unfortunately by the time they'd done that, they were getting rather out of hand and had to be taken down a few notches. Faer didn't hesitate to give her dopple a sound beating, careful not to destroy them entirely just... get them back under control.
But even as they settled into the back of Faer's mind again, she was working on how to handle their existance. For one, she wanted to keep them around, possibly give them a more permanent residence to use that wasn't her body... And a name, at some point.
At least, they weren't keen on a rematch after the beating.
The two did agree on one thing: Keep it quiet. Faer was already concerning enough, no one needed to know there was a side to her that'd taken a life of it's own and was more willing to kill than she was. Not... that that last point has a particularly low bar to top.
Eventually, Faer figured out how to give them a small draconian body to use within a small area around her. It would let them both interact with others at the same time, though typically the dopple stayed quiet. She had also been letting them take over in fights more and more frequently, to sate their bloodlust as well as practice with a new weapon and fighting style. Their presence became enough that Faer's eyes stopped glowing blue, and instead held a red glow.
Not long after all of that, her and her friends all ended up on a connected world that'd been flooded by Light energy. Light that burned Faer's core. Her dopple, though formed of 'dark' arts, was more resistant to the Light and left in charge of her body, as Faer retreated to weave better shielding.
Trying to explain this to Faer's friends was... akward, at best, but they ended up with a new name from it: Nebula. Nebula would stand by the same people Faer did with the same loyalty, not much caring about what they faced against as long as they all got out alive.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

E X P L O R E. She is curious about Primal earth and the adjacent worlds. Eager to learn though her age has taught her caution and patients pays off.
Though she longs to be able to spend time with her mother. She seeks out more power as she sees chances to do so, from sources that would not corrupt her. Hoping one day she can stand more steadily against the forces Nykira faces.

Social

Social Aptitude

She usually carries herself in a fairly confident manner, but not to a point of appearing overconfident. She still fumbles occasionally when speaking due to slipping in and out of her native tongue, pausing to translate as best she can when she remembers or when someone asks.
It is easy to mistake her for being as young as she appears. Though she has her moments where her true age shows through a little more. Sometimes it's her experience with precognition that shows instead, speaking of fates and futures with unusual confidence regardless of potential outcomes, at least unless death is involved.

Mannerisms

She is rarely completely still, if her tail isn't swaying, her wings are twitching, eyes following something, head tilting. Her movements often betray her emotions better than her expression or tone, especially movements of her tail and wings.
Her vocal range is also a little unusual, frequently purring, sometimes growling or hissing. Some words in her language may be accompanied by a trill or something not completely unlike a chirp in how they are pronounced.
