The Red Thread Burgular

In the city of Portland the noble despises the bandit they know as The Red Thread Burglar for his trade mark move of taking a sharp blade to the tapestry as he moves through his victims homes. The only relief nobles who find their home have is so burglarized. That they know that only one item went missing and the seamstress will promptly arrive in the morn. Their has been multiple reports of only one item going missing in a room when a clearly valuable item sat next to it bringing into question? What are this burglars motives.

This thief has yet to be caught and almost no manor of guards, magical spells, locks seem to prevent him from his mark only ever stealing one item at a time. As he always meticulously humiliates what ever barrier presents it self to the treasure he intended to steal. Locks will be dismantled from the doors that they protect. Or the very will key left in the doors. Many a guard has found the keys that were stolen from them in their homes, left with their mistress, or around the collar of their very pets. Magical runes will be blatantly circumvented or wiped clean with new ones in their place producing comical effects upon the magician who checks in on what was their work. The latest prank was changing the hair of the wizard in question to a shade of blue.

The targets of these crimes tend to have made an egregious crime of greed within the pass month. The nobles of Portland has discovered that small gifts of generosity or investments to the lower classes of Portland and surrounding communities stay the hand of The Red Thread Burgular for some time.

His most recent heist was that of the diamond necklace of lady Oreallia Darmer. However notable, the pick lock, of The Red Thread Burglar was broken and stuck in the jewel box, open and Jewels missing but nonetheless a flaw and maybe a sliver of hope to the nobility of Portland.

Rumor suggest The Red Thread Burglar has acquired what he needs for his next job. However the details of the job is unlikely to be known until he has already made off with his next treasure.
