Barkshroom

Barkshroom is this hard foam white fibrous like substance.It repels water and is extremely buoyant. The locals in the marashes of vipel have been know to make rafts out of this material. However more complex ships are not made out of this material for it is too buoyant to handle the seas properly without being torn or smashed apart by fierce ocean weather.
Only the myconids of The marshes of Vipel know how to treat the mushrooms in the swamp so that they bond together rather then pull apart. Once bonded the Barkshroom can be fashioned into many tools that the people of the marsh find invaluable to be buoyant so as to not lose them to the muck of the marshland.
