- Immigrated to Skagi with a caravan of Goliath and Gnomish settlers fleeing some unknown peril to the West.
- Helped build up the village using Goliath rune-magic to regrow lumber, fertilize fields, and ward citizens from injury.
- Began a friendly competition of oneupsmanship with Gnomish tinkerer Wroza, with Bendar attempting to outclass Wroza in tinkering and Wroza attempting to outclass Bendar in rune-magic.
- Lost during the Sundering of Skagi.
- Shunted, along with his laboratory and several citizens of Skagi, to a pocket dimension containing the Eastern portion of the village.
- After several years surviving in the pocket dimension, began behaving erratically and speaking in unknowable tongues, eventually fleeing the village under cover of night.
- Encountered by the party decades later as they assisted Figlic in locating and subduing corrupted Bendar.
