The Immortal ELement connected to life magic. Usually gift Given by the Halris: Goddess of Life favored healers that she refers to as Medicus. They are essentially small condensed Life magic conduits. Thus they call be used to heal without additional required magic manipulations. THey can also be used to find, restore and amplify Soul Centers. Usually embedded into personal accessories won by Medicus. Also coveted for its protective properties.

Geology & Geography

Soulstone cannot be found naturally as it is created directly by Life goddess. Thus all exsisting soulstone was either given by the goddess or passed one by a medicus.

Origin & Source

Soulstone is created directly by Halris: Goddess of Life. She places her hands together and condenses life magic to form soulstone. Thus soulstones don't come in very big sizes. THe size usually reflects in the accessory it is embedded in. Common shapes are medallions, rings, earrings or bracelets.
The life goddess can decide to shatter a soulstone if she deems the wielder unworthy or abusive of its benefits. WHile this does sever its innate connection to life magic, the shards can still be used to channel another source or life magic, or can greatly amplify other life magic manipulation.

History

The First Soulstone was created for Halris's first chossen Medicus, Isisia. It was a winged Moon Medallion

Discovery

Halris created soulstone to assist her first Medicus. However it was also create in respones to the creation of reaper steel. Reapersteel was creating a injury that ordinary life magic couldnt heal. THus Halris sought to create a shareable substance that could counter it.

Everyday use

Medicus use soulstone to assist in their healings and to protet themselves. AS long as they wear it their life is prolonged and they can heal their own injures. Non medicus weilders can stilll use it as long as Halris does not abuse its effects and attracted the disapproval of Halris

Cultural Significance and Usage

Due to its healing and protective properties soul stone is greatly sought after. However, as it is understood that taking it from the rightful owner, would gain the disapproval of Halris and render the stone useless. Thus Soulstones tend to stay with this owner unless given or lost. Those who wield a functioning soulstone are highly respected as they have gained the life goddess favor, and are expected to be helpful and as per their oath to acquire the stone.
