Outworld

Outworld is the birthplace of the Dragons. Long before humans arrived, the Dragons ruled over the realm. Evolving from the image of the Elder Gods themselves, Dragons took Outworld for their own. They ruled for thousands of years before expanding into other realms. The first of which being Earthrealm. From their journey into earth, the dragons left behind DNA that evolved into Dinosaurs. Some time later, Humans evolved on Outworld. At first, the Dragons maintained their power over the land and forced the human population into hiding. But when Onaga rebelled against them, everything began to change. One by one, the dragon population fell and became apart of him, the Dragon King. Outworld became a human realm and the dragons were almost defeated. One final attack attempted to take back outworld but Onaga prevailed, killing the last of Outworld's dragons. Only those who left Outworld many years earlier still survive to this day.
With the death of Onaga came the rise of Shao Kahn. Kahn changed Outworld completely. With his endless conquests, he added more and more landmass to the realm until it became too large for its own good. Not enough food to go around and less and less water meant that Outworld's entire being changed. The skies became purple and poluted.
