Low Common

Low Common is prevalent all across Morova, as it was used by traders and spread by their travel. It is extremely useful at communicating ideas of any complexity, but it has its limits. It changes fairly frequently, and though it's fluid, the rules are steadfast enough that most people will be able to understand a word even if they haven't heard it before. Most everyone knows some level of Low Common, though it has regional variances. However, it can be viewed as exceedingly basic, and those of higher social status are more likely to communicate in the unnecessarily complicated High Common or regional dialects.

Author's Notes

Since this is intended for a comic format, Low Common appears as English. In canon, it draws influences from Polari and other kinds of Cant-style languages.
