The primordial titans return to Morn.
The Collapse is the disaster that took place when the four primordial titans, after being imprisoned in their realms for millenia, were released into the material plane. They brought such destruction with them that the creator gods were forced to intervene in order to send them back to their elemental planes.
Cause
The cause of the Collapse is still debated. There is some evidence to indicate that ancient elves were responsible for unleashing the titans and other evidence to indicate that it was ancient Draconians. Some accounts indicate that interloper gods meddled in their activities to push them to unleash the titans. Other accounts claim it was largely the interloper gods themselves that freed the titans, with mortals having little to do with it.
Demigod Heroes
To fight the four primordial titans, each creator god chose a mortal champion and made them demigods. These mortal heroes fought back each of the four primordial titans and imprisoned them in their planes once again.
The Sundering of the Planes
In the aftermath of the Collapse, the creator gods could no longer tolerate the interloper gods being able to interfere with Morn. The creator gods pushed the interloper gods down into the lower planes. This involved a tremendous push of force bearing down over Morn to literrally push the interloper gods down.
The tremendous force of the Sundering destroyed the oceans, pushing them into the Lower Planes along with the interloper gods. All ocean life was eliminated. All that is thought to remain of the oceans today is the River Styx, supposedly at the bottom of the
Downworld.
It is widely believed today that the pressure of
The Deeps comes from the force of the creator gods pushing down on the Lower Planes to keep the interloper gods out of Morn.
