Ophidian

Ophidians are a race of serpentfolk that is native to the Raintrees of Ashun. Ophidians live in tribes and are usually aggressive to outsiders in their territory. They are said to have originated from humans who explored the Raintrees in ancient times and were bitten by a cursed serpent. The toxin caused them to morph into a new race with the heads and arms of humans and the bodies of large snakes. There are also a small number of Ophidian tribes in the Brushlands and the Outlands. Not much is known about Ophidian culture. Ophidians that travel into towns and cities are usually viewed with suspicion in Ashun, and if an Ophidian appeared in Nilandra they would be viewed with curiosity as a member of a race that most people there have never seen or heard of before.

As an Ophidian you have these special traits.

• Darkvision: You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
• Magic Resistance: You have advantage on saving throws against spells.
• Poison Resillience: You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself. You also have resistance to poison damage.
• Innate Spellcasting: You know the Poison Spray cantrip. You can also cast Animal Friendship an unlimited number of times, but you can target only snakes with it. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast Suggestion once per long rest without using a spell slot.
• Languages: You speak Ophidian.
