Green Rock

Green Rock is the name given to an enormous cube of some jade-colored stone far in the foothills of the Skulls in eastern Qemt'Or. All around Green Rock are typical Outsider ruins - the foundations of enormous buildings from pre-history created with massive blocks carved from dense local stone. No one knows what Green Rock was used for. What researchers there are who have visited the site have generally theorized some sort of religious purpose (what researcher doesn't theorize that about what they don't understand?) but there's really no evidence backing that up.

Description

Outsider artifacts and ruins provide proof that Outsiders were massive creatures, probably between 20 and 30 feet tall. With Green Rock measuring roughly 15 feet in all directions, this would put the top of it at about chest or waist height, depending on how tall the Outsiders really were. The edges and faces of the block are smooth - whether that's deliberate on the part of the Outsiders or because of untold millennia of weather is unclear. The material of the black is unknown: it's a bright green hard stone with veins and swirls of black running through it. On a full moon with a clear sky, Green Rock is said to glow slightly - naturally this has led many to deduce that the rock is from the moon, the home of the Outsiders.

Location

Green Rock sits in the middle of the largest building in the Outsider settlement, opposite of the entrance. The settlement itself is in the foothills of the Southern Skulls, east of Bigwall. The site has not been good for finding artifacts. The site, which has not been named and is usually also known simply as "Green Rock" or "The Green Rock Site," is a few days' travel from Bigwall. It is also close to a Qemti trading post settled for profiting from a nearby Dwarven hold, meaning that it is relatively safe to visit (as far as supplies and travel are concerned).
