Tycleida

A mining town on the moon of Morea, Tyrus. It has been built in a crater and has a shimmering blue dome of energy that keeps the air inside.

The town itself is a study in precision and symmetry. Square buildings, hewn from pristine white stone, radiate outward in a perfect circular pattern from the heart of the settlement. At its center stands the grand Temple of Thalin, a towering structure that serves as both a place of worship and the administrative core of Tycleida. The temple’s spires pierce the dome’s inner glow, symbolizing the town’s dual devotion to faith and order.

Life in Tycleida is shaped by the moon’s lower gravity, which lends an almost dreamlike quality to movement. Inhabitants and visitors alike can leap higher and farther than they ever could on a planet’s surface, their steps light, their jumps effortless. This peculiarity has given rise to unique customs, from gravity-defying sports to architectural adaptations that take advantage of the reduced pull.

Industry & Trade

Mining is its lifeblood, drawing workers from across the system to extract the valuable resources hidden beneath the crater’s floor. The hum of machinery and the clatter of picks against stone echo through the streets, a constant soundtrack to daily life. But beneath the routine, secrets lurk whispers of ancient secrets buried deep within the mines, of factions vying for control of the dome’s technology, and of the true origins of the crater itself.

History

It used to be part of the Pangu ōkoku before the Scarring but when the anti-magic field appeared around the planet they got cut-off from the Empire of the Moon and Illium Magocracy.   Rumour has it that the mines are not formed by natural forces, but by the great Lunar Dragon, a beast of myth said to have carved its nest deep beneath the town. Over centuries, the dragon’s claws tore through the moon’s crust, creating a labyrinth of tunnels that now snake below Tycleida’s foundations. Miners speak in hushed tones of the warren’s depths, where the air grows thin and the walls hum with an unnatural resonance. Some claim the dragon’s eggs still lie hidden in those lightless passages, waiting to hatch or to be discovered.
