Astralwing

These beasts are significantly less common to see than Willowmanes among the Sylvents but are highly renowned as the apex predator beast within Blossomreach and thus their companions are given higher respects. They are more picky about who they choose to bond with.

Appearance: Astralwings are butterfly-dragon hybrids. Their wings shimmer iridescently, appearing delicate at first glance but strong and resilient. Patterns on their wings resemble star maps, glowing faintly in darkness. Their dragon-like bodies are sleek, with clawed feet, a whip-like tail, and a scaled underbelly. Their jaws, lined with sharp teeth, and smoke-filled nostrils betray their predatory nature.

Behavior: Solitary companions by nature, they bond only with those who earn their trust, typically Sylvent warriors or Fae sorcerers. They are highly intelligent, capable of understanding complex commands. Despite their combat prowess, Astralwings are drawn to beauty and are often seen resting in Blossomreach's most vibrant groves.

Abilities: Can breathe an acidic, glittering smoke that corrodes armor and obscures vision. Or a poisonous smoke that chokes any oxygen breathing creatures nearby. Their wings allow for long-distance travel and agile flight, even in dense forests. When threatened, they emit a high-pitched screech that can disorient foes.
