The Jailer
“Chains rattle not for warning, but for hunger.”
A hideous, hulking horror twisted by dark sorcery or the will of some infernal power. Its gaping stomach-prison contains the wailing remains of the damned — or their still-living bodies — thrashing behind bars of bone and iron. It does not speak. It only takes.

Special Rules
Terror
The Jailer causes Terror.
Large Target
The Jailer is a Large Target and follows related rules for visibility and shooting.
Digesting Prisoner
Once per game, when The Jailer takes a model Out of Action in close combat, you may choose to imprison the model instead of removing them.
- Place the model's miniature behind The Jailer’s base to represent it being “swallowed.”
- At the end of each of The Jailer's turns, roll a D6:
- 1-4: The model is still alive but trapped (counts as OOA for campaign purposes).
- 5-6: The prisoner is digested; permanently dead unless Undead, Daemon, or Chaos-aligned.
- If The Jailer is taken Out of Action before the digestion succeeds, the trapped model may be recovered with a successful Strength test by an ally adjacent to the corpse.
Chain Snare
Once per game, The Jailer can use a chain to drag a model within 6" directly into base contact. This is resolved before movement and does not count as a charge. The target must pass an Initiative test or be pulled and immediately engaged in combat.
Imposing Bulk
Enemies fighting The Jailer in base contact suffer –1 to hit due to his sheer mass and unpredictability.
Alliances
- May be hired by: Possessed, Carnival of Chaos, Cult of the Damned, or any Custom Chaos Warband
- Hire Fee: 140 gold crowns
- Warband Rating: Increases warband’s rating by +65 points
